Open a FACEIT match room and Prefire shows you who you're up against, inside the players' own cards. It's free, it's on as soon as you add the extension, and it reads everything from FACEIT in your browser, with your own FACEIT sign-in. Nothing about the players you meet is sent to Prefire.
Nothing floats over the room: the numbers are part of the page, in FACEIT's colours and FACEIT's font, and the map veto, Accept, Ready, Connect and the chat stay exactly where FACEIT puts them.
Inside every player's card
Each of the ten players gets a line of their own under FACEIT's row in their card. A small caption says what it covers - Last 30 matches - with their last five results; under it, one line of figures with a small label under each:
Matches · Wins · Rating · Swing · K/D/A · K/D · K/R · ADR
Their level and Elo aren't repeated: FACEIT's own row, right above, already shows them. On a narrower column the figures that matter least drop out.
- Matches is how many matches they've played on FACEIT in all. Every other figure is over their last 30. It fills in a moment after the rest, and hovering it says so.
- Rating is FACEIT's own rating for the player, averaged over the last 30 matches FACEIT gives one for.
- Swing is FACEIT's own round swing, averaged the same way: how much the player moved their team's chance of winning a round, on average per round. +0.86% means they were worth that much of a round. It's the one coloured figure on the line: green above zero, red below.
- K/D/A is the kills, deaths and assists of an average match for them.
Neither Rating nor Swing is worked out by Prefire: both are the numbers FACEIT calculates itself, match by match, and hovering either says how many matches it's over. When FACEIT doesn't send them for a player, both are a dash, and hovering says so.
While the numbers arrive
From the moment the room opens, every card already has its line, drawn in place: the caption, the labels and a grey bar where each figure will go. The figures replace the bars as FACEIT answers, so nothing in the room moves.
- FACEIT is busy - trying again: FACEIT asked for a pause, or didn't answer. Prefire waits as long as FACEIT asks and then asks once more; the line keeps its place meanwhile.
- FACEIT didn't send these numbers, with Try again: FACEIT didn't answer for this player. Try again asks once more.
- Not asked: this room's FACEIT requests ran out: the room already used what Prefire allows itself for one room. Reload the room to try again.
- Sign in to FACEIT to see the stats: you're signed out of FACEIT in this browser.
With several FACEIT tabs open, the one you're looking at is filled first, and the opposing team before your own.
The whole room, map by map
The same line has a second display: a compact matrix, one column per map of this room's pool, with that player's matches, K/D and ADR on each, over their last 30 - for every player in the room at once. A map they haven't played in their last 30 is a column of dashes, so the columns line up across the two rosters and can be read straight down.
The control that switches the two is in FACEIT's centre column of the room: Last 30 and Per map. What you pick is remembered with the rest of your settings, so it follows you to your other browsers, and the room opens in the display you left it in. The matrix never widens FACEIT's roster column: a pool too wide for it scrolls inside Prefire's own box.
Open a player's line
Click it, or reach it with the Tab key and press Enter, and it opens in place into the rest:
- how far they are from the next level, or Top level at level 10;
- over their Last 30 matches: win rate, K/D, K/R, ADR, headshot percentage, average kills and their form;
- how they do on the map you're about to play: matches, win rate, K/D and ADR there. Before the veto picks a map, it lists every map in the pool, best first.
Press Escape and it closes, and only one is open at a time. A player FACEIT hasn't rated yet is Unrated, and one with fewer than five recent matches says there are too few to go by.
Both teams at a glance
At the top of each team's own column: its average Elo, its average level and its chance to win - FACEIT's own when the room has it, otherwise worked out from the two teams' average Elo and marked as an estimate. In FACEIT's centre column you also see what a win or a loss is worth for you, like You: win +22 / loss −28, marked est.: FACEIT decides the real number when the match ends.
On your profile, and anyone's
Open your own FACEIT profile and Prefire's section under its header has your Elo, what you still need for the next level, your session - the matches you played in the last 12 hours, won and lost, and the Elo they moved you - and your last results. Open anyone else's profile and the same section has their last 30: win rate, K/D, ADR, headshots, form and their maps.
Turn any of it off
Each of these is its own switch on the extension's settings page, under FACEIT: Match room stats and Team summary under Match room, Elo progress and Profile stats under Player profile. Settings & privacy shows where the settings page is.
The stats are FACEIT's own numbers, asked for by your browser when you open the room, at a person's pace, and kept for a few minutes so the next room with the same players asks for less. If something from FACEIT doesn't show up, turn on Show Prefire debug info on the settings page and look at the page's console (F12): it says which answer couldn't be read, never a player's name.
