Getting started

Pre-match data intelligence for CS2. Prefire reads the demos of your opponent's last three matches on the map you're about to play, and puts what they show on one page: who that player is, where they are at each moment of the round, what their team does, how they open rounds, and their flashes, HEs, kill spots and force buys. You read it before the match, in your browser. It never touches the game.

What you need

• A browser. The web app at prefireapp.com/web works in any modern one, on any computer.
• A FACEIT account, to sign in and to have Prefire find an opponent's matches for you.
• Chrome, Edge or Brave for the browser extension, which opens a study from your FACEIT match room and sends it the demos it needs.

The ways in

• The web app, at prefireapp.com/web. Nothing to install, and your history and saved lineups follow your account. See Web app.
• The browser extension, which puts a Study badge on every player in your match room, and sends a demo from FACEIT's Watch demo button straight to Prefire. See Browser extension.

Your first study

1. Sign in at prefireapp.com/web with your FACEIT account.
2. Pick an opponent. In your FACEIT match room, with the extension added, press Study on their badge. Without a match room, type their FACEIT nickname on the web app's Player study card, pick the map, and press Open the study. Start with the one who holds the site you like taking.
3. The study opens on that player and map. It reads their last three matches there, and Prefire may not have read them all yet: with the extension, the room of each missing match opens behind the study with Watch demo lit up. Click Watch demo in each; the room sends the demo and closes itself. The study is drawn once all three are read.
4. Go through it: Player, Positions, Team reads, Opening duels, Flashes, HEs, Kill spots and Force buys.
