Terms of use and refunds
These are the terms you agree to when you use Prefire and when you pay for it. They are written to be read, not to be got past: if a sentence here is unclear, write to us and we will fix the sentence.
What Prefire is
Prefire reads Counter-Strike 2 demo files that have already been played and shows you where a player spent their time, where they threw, and where they died. It runs outside the game: it does not attach to CS2, does not read its memory, and changes nothing about a live match. It is not affiliated with Valve or with FACEIT.
Your account
You sign in with FACEIT. One account is one person — you are responsible for what is done with yours, and sharing your sign-in is what we would call misuse. We can suspend an account that is used to attack the service, to resell access, or to break these terms, and we will say why when we do.
The free week
Every account gets 7 days free, once, the first time it opens Prefire. No card, nothing to cancel: when the week is over the study screens stop and everything else — your history, your saved lineups — is still there. An account that has already had a trial, or has already had a paid period, does not get a second free week.
What you are buying
Solo is all of Prefire for one person, sold by the period: 30 days, or 365 days. The price of each is shown before you pay, in the app and on the home page, and the price you see at that moment is the price you pay. Buying does not create a subscription that bills you again.
Time adds up rather than restarting. If you buy a month with ten days still to run, you have forty — not thirty. Time that has already run out is not brought back: a period that ended last year starts again from the day you buy.
Paying with PIX
In Brazil, payment is by PIX, handled by AbacatePay. You are shown a QR code and a copy-and-paste code; the payment reaches us through them, and we never see or store your bank details or your card. A PIX payment is a one-off purchase of one period. It does not renew, we cannot charge you again without you starting a new payment, and there is nothing to cancel.
Your app shows the date your access ends, and offers to renew from a week before it. Renewing is a new payment that you start. Outside Brazil, paid plans are not open yet; you can ask to be told when they are, and that is a note of your account and nothing more.
Refunds and the 7-day right to change your mind
If you are buying from Brazil, you have seven days from the payment to change your mind and get your money back in full, for any reason or none. This is your right under article 49 of the Consumer Defence Code, because you are buying away from a shop. Write to us within those seven days from the email address on your account and we will refund the payment through PIX and end the access it bought.
After the seven days, a period that has started is not refundable as a matter of course — but if Prefire did not do what this page says it does, or was unusable for a stretch of your period, write to us. We would rather refund a person than argue with them.
Refunds go back by PIX to the account that paid, and we ask for nothing more than the payment and the email address on your account to make one.
Stopping
There is no subscription to cancel: you stop by not paying again. Access runs to the end of the period you bought, and then the study screens ask you to subscribe. Your history and your saved lineups stay in your account, and you can delete them, or ask us to delete the account itself, at any time — see the privacy page.
What we promise, and what we do not
Prefire is a study tool, not a guarantee of anything. We do not promise that it is free of faults, that a particular demo can be read, that FACEIT will keep serving the demos it serves today, or that you will win more matches. We do promise to say when something is broken, and to keep this page true.
Where the law lets us limit it, our liability for a claim about Prefire is limited to what you paid us for the period the claim is about. Nothing here limits any right you have under Brazilian consumer law, which comes first wherever it disagrees with this page.
Changes to these terms
We can change these terms — for a new feature, or because the law changed. A period you have already bought is governed by the terms as they were the day you paid, and we will not change a price you have already been charged.
Which law, and where
Brazilian law applies. If we cannot settle something between us, a consumer may bring it before the courts where they live, as the Consumer Defence Code allows.
